The interview was conducted by UPLB BS Development Communication student, Alpheus Loukas Ascan, last September 24, 2024 at UPOU for a requirement for his DEVC 11 subject.
We hope this will spread more awareness on permaculture in the Philippines.
Thank you to Mam Trisha C. Ascan for helping with the footage and directing the shoot.
A short documentary film entitled, "Sa Unti Unting Lunti," by UPOU students, Faith Margeux Caubang (Bachelor of Education Studies, FED) and Catherine Faith Junio (Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Studies, FICS) talks about sustainable food production and caring for the local biodiversity.
The film was submitted as an entry in the recently concluded Sine-Kalikhasan: A Sustainable Short Film Competition organized by The Philippine Star and Robinsons Malls in partnership with Robinsons Movieworld.
Special thanks to Ms. Maryjane Reondanga, Dr. Jabez Flores, Dr. Joane Serrano, Ms. Raizza Alforja, and the FMDS staff for their time and support in the making of this film.
The Perma GARDEN Team (L-R): Raizza Alforja, Mary Jane Reodanga, Dr. Jabez Flores
Last October 26, the FMDS Perma GARDEN in UP Open University was featured in two segments in One Sports Channel's agriculture show, AgriTV. In the first segment, the Perma Team explained how the Perma GARDEN began and how it was designed. In the second segment, BiodiversiTV, the team discussed how permaculture, as a way to do sustainable agriculture, can promote biodiversity in our local landscapes. Special thanks to the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity for helping promote our advocacy!
